Purposeful Reset After Loss

The year 2020 was riddled with loss. Loss of loved ones, loss of careers, and loss of self just to identify a few. In this episode, I invited one of my friends, Randi Warren, Esq. to share how she was able to reset and pivot in purpose after loss.

If you recall in the prior episode about the Value of Purpose I told you all about how purpose bears fruit and I read an email for you that was from one of my newsletter subscribers.  Randi was the author of the email.

Randi and I met back in 2010 in law school, so we’ve known each other for 10 years. Randi is a trailblazer and an awesome friend.

The reason I felt it was imperative to have Randi on the show is two-fold:

  1. Randi suffered a significant, unexpected loss and has been able to press forward.
  2. Randi is in a very unique position in her journey with purpose because she’s smack dab in the middle of it. She’s at the point where God is revealing it to her and hitting her with the messaging left and right, but she haven’t sat down to really put it into words yet.

In this episode we cover...

  1. The beginning of Randi’s post law school professional career.
  2. The purposeful reset happening for Randi after the unexpected loss of her mother.
  3. How Randi’s mom purposefully equipped her to handle life without her.
  4. How the journey reminded her of Job.
  5. Randi’s founding of The Graceful Pivot in pursuit of purpose.

Randi shared her journey in hopes that it would help someone else. I am grateful for her courage to talk about mourning her mom and navigating her purpose.

We were also able to explore how even though God does not cause tragedies in our lives, He can still use our testimony of healing for His glory.
