How to Show Up As Your Best Self

Although you may sometimes feel compelled to show up as your representative in different environments, you must resist that urge and make the decision to show up as your best self every single day.

I know as a Black woman, there are some scenarios where we have been conditioned to suppress our true selves in order to be seen. In this episode, Janine is encouraging us to challenge this conditioning.

N. Janine Gates is a mindset coach. She encourages women to get unstuck and unapologetically thrive on their terms. Janine’s work is near and dear to her heart. It is personal for her. She grew up pleasing everyone else and not herself. Taking care of herself was the last thing on her radar.

This all changed when she had a run in with the legal system. She knew she needed to find and celebrate herself. She needed to get unstuck and unapologetically thrive. Janine saw other women having similar experiences – feeling unworthy, stressed, and doing things out of obligation. This is why she decided to start her coaching business. When Janine is not coaching her clients, she is busy being a dog mommy to Daisy, reading, and traveling
