God speaks to us all the time. Yes, God speaks to you. But, it’s hard to hear Him when our lives are noisy and overly busy.
In this episode, I sat down with Eric Bates and dived into how God clearly spoke to him about some things.
Eric is insanely talented. He can sing, he’s a minister, and he’s sick when it comes to video editing and production. More importantly, he has a heart for God and the things of God. So, I invited on the show and in this episode, we discussed:
- Why he decided to become an ordained minister
- His approach to spiritual discipline
- Some specific instances of God speaking to him

Eric is a licensed and ordained minister and videographer from Port Arthur, Texas. He’s also a Navy veteran, husband to his amazing wife Maite Bates and father to his two amazing children Hailey Bates (3) and EJ (1). Aside from these core things, Eric loves to cut ALL the way up. He loves people, and is a beast on a smoker. If you ask him, he will tell you that he smokes some of THE best BBQ you’ll ever eat in your life.
