In society today, we’re constantly told that success is about external markers — how much money we make, how big our house is, how many followers we have. These worldly standards have become so ingrained that we often forget to ask: What does God say about success? What is Godly success?

What Is Godly Success
Godly success isn’t measured by achievements, dollars, or titles, but in our spiritual growth, our character, our relationship with God, and what we do to advance His kingdom rule here on the Earth.
Godly success is about aligning our lives with God’s will. Godly success goes beyond the temporary, material things that the world often chases. It’s about eternal fulfillment.
An urgency dropped in my spirit recently to dive into the basics of what it means to have Godly success. I felt it so strongly and I truly believe that it is against an age to come. You’re going to have to know, for yourself, how to usher in the presence of God, how to tap into the heart and mind of God, how to hear Him and encounter Him in order to fulfill what He created you to do.
It is our job to establish God’s kingdom rule here on Earth, so I have to ask you this. Do you know your specific part in this takeover? Something to think about
How Do We Obtain Godly Success
In order to obtain Godly success in this season and beyond you must go deeper in your walk with God and your pursuit of Him. Whatever you’ve been doing, kick it up five notches. That is how to grab hold of the information that will lead you to how God will measure your specific success.
And in order to go deeper you must strengthen your spiritual body which is what we’re going to focus on today. And before you even ask, yes, your spirit has a body and it can be strengthened. Luke 1:80, CSB and NKJV tells us that John the Baptist became spiritually strong or that he became strong in spirit.
How does a person become spiritually strong? I’m glad you asked.
Human Components
Before I get into that, let’s look at our makeup really quickly because I don’t want to take for granted that you know what I’m referring to. As humans, we are composed of three main components—a spirit, a soul, and a body which is the physical, tangible part of you that we can see. It’s what houses our vital organs like the brain and heart and other things like our blood, skin, and bones.
Our soul is an invisible part of our makeup. This is where our mind, conscience, will, and emotions are housed. This is the part that makes up our personality.
Your spirit is the other invisible part of you. It has been best described as the essence of who you are. This is the part of you that deeply craves connection with a higher power.
Your spirit is how you connect with God and it’s how you hear from God. God speaks directly to your human spirit. When your human spirit is strong and tapped into the Holy Spirit you are able to 1) hear God about things like what His will is, your purpose, how to live, how to treat your spouse, how to earn more, how to partner with Him in the work He’s doing on on the Earth, how to strategically fight the enemy, and all of the other things that God measures our success. When your human spirit is strong you will also be able to operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit more efficiently.
Spirit
Alright, now we can get back to looking at how to go about strengthening our spirit which is similar to how we strengthen our natural bod . We strengthen our natural bodies by doing what? Filling it with nutrients from good food, resting, and exercising. Well guess what? This is how we strengthen our spiritual bodies as well. Our focus is going to be on spiritual food and spiritual exercising today because rest is easier to grasp. We like to make it complicated but it isn’t.
Food
Alright, so let’s talk about spiritual food. What is it? Spiritual food is the word of God. Matthew 4:4, NKJV Jesus tells us that ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ” This was actually Jesus quoting scripture because this line is from Deuteronomy 8:3. The words that proceed out of the mouth of God that this text is referring to are God’s written word, the logos, which is the Bible, and it also includes His prophetic words and instructions to you, which are the rhema word.
We see a good amount of references in scripture to God’s word being food. In 1 Peter 2:2, we learn that God’s work is like milk and just like newborn infants desire milk, we should also desire the pure milk of God’s word so that we can grow. One of the most vivid examples of God’s word being food and having a taste is when God fed the prophet Ezekiel the scroll containing God’s words to Israel. Here’s a recount of it, starting with Ezekiel 3:1, CSB
“He said to me, “Son of man, eat what you find here. Eat this scroll, then go and speak to the house of Israel.” So I opened my mouth, and he fed me the scroll. “Son of man,” he said to me, “feed your stomach and fill your belly with this scroll I am giving you.” So I ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth.
Then he said to me, “Son of man, go to the house of Israel and speak my words to them.”
You know, just being transparent, I struggle to even BEGIN to tell you how important it is to read and know God’s word. I mean, know it, know it.
But let me first start by sharing a mystery God revealed about physical Bibles. Back in November 2024, I attended a spiritual retreat hosted by my friend who is a Prophet. Her name is Princess Pepper. I’ll tag her info in the episode description but she hosts spiritual retreats that focus on helping Christians go deeper in their walk with God. In fact, her retreat is actually called Into the Deep.
Some time before the retreat she gave us a packing list and one of the things she told us to bring was our physical Bibles. She didn’t say why so I just assumed we would need it for one of the sessions during the retreat.
So, fast forward to after the end of the session and we’re all sitting around recapping the encounters and stuff we had during the independent time of worship and Princess says something along the lines of, “Y’all, I just found out that your Bibles have character and personality!” I’m looking at her like, “girl, say more things!”
She tells us that as she prayed over our Bibles, different things happened. She told one girl that her Bible had comfort in it and sweet revelation. She told another girl that her Bible was on fire! It literally got so hot as she anointed it that it burned her hand! She had to snatch her hand back as if she had touched a hot stove top.
She told another girl that her Bible talked back! In a formal, bougie voice, it said, “I’m her sword, I’m her protector, I’m her mantle!” It was very spicy lol.
So I’m sitting there like ma’am, what happened when you touched my Bible?? She says, wait, let me remember. Then she proceeded to say that when she touched my Bible, she had a vision where she saw me inside of the pages, running around, connecting the dots. She said, “I saw you had been all over those pages.”
This was hilarious to me but so accurate. The Holy Spirit be connecting the dots for me so much.
But here’s what you should take away from this. Your Bible has character and personality. It forms to you. And for this reason God told us that we should be reading our physical Bibles as much as possible.
Not when it’s convenient here and there but as much as possible. Sure the Bible app is useful but God says read your physical Bible. After all, this is the primary way that God speaks to us.
God’s written word isn’t just food that strengthens us. It’s also a sword that protects us. It’s the only offensive weapon you have in your spiritual armor.
Here’s another gem. When we read God’s word we learn more about Him, His character, His nature, what He likes and what He hates which allows us to begin the process of shedding those things so that we can become more like him. This is how you can begin to “put on Christ.” But reading and meditating on God’s written word in the Bible doesn’t just lead us to Godly success because it strengthens us. It leads us to Godly success period and Joshua 1:8, NKJV tells us this. It says:
“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”
I’m going to throw this in here for free, we are not entitled to a rhema word from God when He has already spoken about it in the logos which is His written word in the Bible. So if you are praying and asking God to help you in an area and you feel like he hasn’t answered you, then guess what? The answer to what you are praying for might just be in the Bible. 9.999 times out of 10 it IS in the Bible.
Here’s another thing about God’s word that isn’t spoken about nearly enough, but it is the Word of God that will judge us when we die. Jesus lets us know this in John 12:48-49, AMP. Here’s what he said:
Whoever rejects Me and refuses to accept My teachings, has one who judges him; the very word that I spoke will judge and condemn him on the last day. For I have never spoken on My own initiative or authority, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a commandment regarding what to say and what to speak.
The NLT translation says it like this, “But all who reject me and my message will be judged on the day of judgment by the truth I have spoken.”
If you don’t know His Word then you are completely unaware of the standard by which you will be measured because there is a standard. Can you imagine standing before Jesus on judgment day and being judged by words you don’t even know? Ignorance of the standard is not a defense. It isn’t a defense in the natural world when laws are broken and it isn’t a defense in the realm of the spirit.
Keeping God’s word let’s Jesus know that we love Him. That’s straight from Jesus. He said in John 14:15 that if we love him, we will keep his commandments. We gotta read His word to know what His commandments are.
Here’s another mystery about God’s written word, God’s word is living and breathing. Some Bible scholars are probably listening to this like, girl that is NOT a mystery. That is in scripture. Hear me out. God’s word is alive. It speaks. Here’s a man’s testimony where he shared his experience with this.
Every follower of Christ needs to read the written word of God regularly and consistently. There is NO substitution for reading God’s word. Prayer is not a substitute because if you aren’t praying God’s word, then what ARE you praying? Going to church is not a substitute for reading the Bible. Nothing can replace this.
You have to start to see your lack of reading God’s Word as an attack from the enemy to weaken you. Because remember this is food for your spirit. Let me say it like this.
You are a spiritually weak and malnourished Christian without the word of God and you are exactly where Satan, the enemy of your soul, wants you.
I cannot stress this enough. READ YOUR BIBLE. Inhale it, carry it with you to the store and read it in the check out line, whatever you have to do.
Spiritual Exercise for Godly Success
Ok so this next one is not a debate but people do like to debate it. The next way to strengthen your spirit after you feed it with the Word is to exercise your spirit. So what is our spirit’s equivalent of exercising spiritually? It’s praying in tongues. Tongues is a technology that’s extremely powerful which I’ll share in a minute but because it’s so powerful, the devil fights it really hard!
I’m not making a case for tongues being a thing so if you need a lesson on why and how tongues are relevant for you as an individual, I recommend watching this short video by John Bevere called Debunking the Mystery of Speaking in Tongues or reading his book called Holy Spirit. He walks you through the scriptural support for why individuals should pray in tongues.
Today, I am focusing on the benefits of tongues as exercise for your spirit body and I’ll share some mysteries and little known truths about the technology too.
Let’s start with looking at our scriptural support for praying in tongues being a form of exercise that leads to spiritual strength.
First, we know from 1 Cor 14:14, NLT, that praying in tongues is our spirit praying, because we don’t even understand what we are saying.
Then, Romans 8:26-27, NLT reveals to us that it’s the Holy Spirit who is telling our spirits what to pray that will strengthen us. It says, “And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness because we don’t even know what God wants us to pray.
But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.”
Then 1 Corinthians 14:2-4, AMP brings the point home that praying in tongues strengthens our spirit and helps it grow. Here’s what it says:
“For one who speaks in an unknown tongue does not speak to people but to God; for no one understands him or catches his meaning, but by the Spirit he speaks mysteries [secret truths, hidden things]. But [on the other hand] the one who prophesies speaks to people for edification [to promote their spiritual growth] and [speaks words of] encouragement [to uphold and advise them concerning the matters of God] and [speaks words of] consolation [to compassionately comfort them]. One who speaks in a tongue edifies himself…”
This text shows us three very important things about praying in tongues. It first shows us that when we pray in tongues, we are speaking directly to God, not man.
Then it shows us that when we pray in tongues, we are speaking mysteries. Mysteries in this regard are referring to the things about God and His kingdom that are too deep and profound for our minds to grasp or understand at the moment.
It also shows us that praying in tongues is edifying to us as individuals and builds us up spiritually even though our natural minds don’t understand what’s happening, and the result of that is spiritual growth.
The spirit realm is way more real than what we see in the natural world. It’s the superior realm. Which means that no matter how strong your physical body may be, it cannot protect you from spiritual attacks.
It also means that if you are attacked hard in the spirit realm it will at some point begin to manifest in the natural realm.
Now, before I get into praying in the spirit, I want to talk about why there is a need for it in the first place. The need comes from our separation from God after man fell in the Garden of Eden.
We need it because we don’t know how to pray. Why don’t we know how to pray? Scriptures let us know that there are times when we can be praying and we pray amiss. James 4:3, NKJV
Also, we don’t really hear many Old Testament scriptures reference it. This is an end times technology!
I was listening to an interview that James Aladiran did of Dunsin Oyekan, a worship leader from Nigeria, and Dunsin described praying in tongues sort of like this.
Praying in tongues is how you receive signals from heaven. THIS is how you sharpen your spiritual senses to be able to interact with what is happening in heaven. Science backs this up.

Here is another mystery about praying in tongues… it empowers and strengthens your angels. Micah Turnbo was able to shed some light on this during an interview he had with Taylor Welch. Here’s what he had to say…
A man of God recently had a dream that there is going to come a time where Christians will be persecuted for praying in tongues.
And if you’re wondering why this technology is attacked so hard and condemned so much, it may help to see it from the other side—from Satan and the kingdom of darkness’s perspective.
Tongues is a technology that came after Lucifer’s fall so he does not understand what you are saying. Lucifer fell before we were ever created. The idea that God would create actual children that came from inside of Him and had his breath and parts of him and were able to inherit from God sent Lucifer into a downward spiral full of pride, jealousy, and utter darkness, so he wasn’t around when God was creating this secret code which means, he can’t decipher it.
Here’s why that is important for you and I. We are in a WAR. You were enlisted into this war the second you received salvation and you must begin to see yourself as a commanding officer in your warfare. Spiritual Warfare strategist, Melinda Michelle gave me that nugget, so I’m sharing it with you. It’s real though. You are the commanding officer and God is your Commander in Chief.
Your enemy is Satan and he has a massive army with advanced technology, including state of the art spying and wiretapping technology. This is not a metaphor. This is a fact. Because he is not omnipresent like God, he cannot be everywhere at once. So he uses people, demons, and all sorts of technologies to spy on you.
So how can you war and communicate effectively with your Commander in Chief when your enemy has methods of seeing and hearing your nearly every move. Well, you need a covert way of communicating and operating. You need to be able to say things to God that moves heaven and earth, and angels to respond, without your enemy knowing what you are commanding. That way, he can’t effectively launch any kind of counteroffensive. So let me paint the picture of what this looks in the natural realm.
During World War II, there was a period where the Japanese were correctly anticipating our moves. We would go to a particular location and they would already be there ready… and this kept happening. Eventually, the US military recognized that in order for them to be victorious in that war, they had to be able to communicate their war strategies without their enemy knowing what they were saying. So, insert, another language. This other language was provided by members of the Navajo Indian Tribe. They were called the Navajo Code Talkers.
These Navajo Code Talkers played a crucial role in the war because they utilized their native language to create an unbreakable code for transmitting sensitive information. Because these American Indians were fluent in both their traditional tribal language and in English they were able to effectively communicate secret messages containing crucial military strategies that the enemy could not decipher.
THAT is what you are doing as you are praying in tongues.
Not only does your enemy not know what you are saying during your battle communications with your Commander in Chief when you are praying in tongues, but praying in tongues also causes harm to his kingdom.
James Kawalya, a former occultist and practicing satanist, recently shared what he was able to see in the spirit realm when someone prayed on tongues. [video: 9:51]
The demonic spirit that was empowering the human began to melt like wax.
Alright, so now the question for some of you is, well, how do I receive this powerful prayer language? It’s so easy. You receive it through the Baptism of the Holy Spirit which is only possible if you have already received salvation.
Baptism with the Holy Spirit
You can receive this baptism in a few ways. For some of you the power of God might come on you while you’re listening to me talk right now and you will begin praying in tongues.
For everyone else I’ll lead you in a simple prayer. It’s the same prayer I lead people through at church when I minister the baptism of the Holy Spirit there. It came from my founding pastor. And listen, this is for everyone. I have ministered this to children as young as ten years old. They not only received their prayer language, but one of them had an encounter with God. She was taken up into a vision I think in heaven where God spoke directly to her. So bring your children and let them pray this as well. It’s crucial.
So let me begin to pray in the spirit and usher in the presence of God and then I will lead you in prayer.
Repeat after me.
Father, I desire to be filed with the Holy Spirit with the Bible evidence of speaking in tongues. I believe I receive now and shall speak as you give the utterance. Thank you Father for giving me a new language in which to communicate with you and praise You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Now let me pray for you. Heavenly Father, it is the name of Jesus that I ask you to fill every person who just prayed that prayer with your Holy Spirit. Your word says that we shall receive power after the Holy Spirit has come upon and we shall be witnesses to the end of the Earth. They have asked for this father and your word says ask we shall receive, so I thank you for filling them with your Holy Spirit.
