Everything I shared in the last two episodes was to get you here to this point, which means, if you are new here, then this is not the place to start. Just as a quick recap, here’s what we’ve already explored. First we looked at what judgment actually is and the two parts of judgments which are the issuance of the judgment and the execution of that judgment.
Then we look at who can issue and execute judgments, which is God and those he delegates that authority to. We discussed the specific people and entities in part one.
Then in part two we looked at the things we do that warrant God’s judgment and some of the ways God can choose to execute judgment against a person, group, or system.
Now it’s time for us to explore God’s judgment of America and next steps for us as followers of Christ.

God’s Judgment Upon Nations
God is going to judge America. In fact, God has already begun to judge America. If you have the eyes to see, then you can see that America is a nation full of wickedness.
Americans have committed, on a large scale, most if not all of the things I highlighted in the last episode that are things that bring upon the judgment of God.
God has always warned of coming judgment in order that people may choose to change their behavior and avoid it.
He warned Noah of the coming flood (Gen 6:13ff); Abraham and Lot of the future destruction of Sodom (Gen 18:17; 19:14); Joseph of the seven-year famine (Gen 41:30); Moses of the ten plagues on Egypt (Ex 7:1ff); Jonah of the destruction of Nineveh (Jon 1:2; 3:4); Amos of the downfall of Aram (which is modern day Syria), Philistia, Tyre, Edom, Ammon, Moab, Judah, and Israel (Amos 1 and 2).
Here are the seven judgments of America as prophesied by Apostle Joshua Giles.
1. Maltreatment of the poor and the needy.
The first judgment is for maltreatment of the poor and the needy. Remember, lack of concern for the poor and needy and obstructing the poor and needy was number two on the list in part two. As support, he cited Isaiah 10:1-2, NIV which says,
“Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless.”
God is going to release judgment against those who are doing this and it will be in the form of an economic judgment. The wealth transfer from the wicked to the just is a part of this economic judgment.
2. Maltreatment of widows.
Number two. God is judging America for the maltreatment of widows. Widows here represent those who are not in a position to take care of themselves. This will be a judgment against unrighteous covenants. The agreements and alliances that have been in place to marginalize certain groups and push people aside that our nation should be helping.
3. Maltreatment of the fatherless.
God is judging this nation for the maltreatment of the fatherless. These are children who have been neglected and God is going to judge how this nation has treated them within its systems. God is going to judge the systems that marginalize those without fathers.
Apostle Giles tells us that we will see this judgment will show up against wicked family structures. There are wicked family structures that have ruled within this nation and have maintained power. If you think hard, you can probably name some of them. A form of this judgment will be concerning their wealth.
4. Iniquity and Deception within the Government.
Number four, God is judging the iniquity and deception within the American government. He provided 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12, KJV as support which says, “because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:”
Which means we will continue to see strong delusion over the next few years in America. Unfortunately, some of it will be in the church as the spirit of strong delusion is connected to the spirit of religion. The spirit of religion is a religious spirit devoid of and disconnected from the spirit of God.
5. Contamination of Politics in the Church.
Number five. God is going to judge the contamination of politics in the church. This means that God is judging governmental structure within the church and judging a corrupt government structure within the secular world.
6. Religious Systems.
Number six. God is judging religious systems, we’ve already discussed part of this but God may judge other areas as well. God’s judgment typically begins with His church or His chosen people. This is consistent across the Old and New Testaments.
In Ezekiel 9:5-6, CSB. The people of Israel were committing detestable practices and God was judging them with death. Here’s what the text says, “… “Pass through the city after him and start killing; do not show pity or spare them! Slaughter the old men, the young men and women, as well as the children and older women, but do not come near anyone who has the mark. Begin at my sanctuary.” So they began with the elders who were in front of the temple.”
1 Peter 4:17, CSB says, “For the time has come for judgment to begin with God’s household, and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who disobey the gospel of God?”
God is judging His Church and there is a lot to judge.
7. Perversion within the Nation.
Finally, God is judging perversion within the nation. He will begin to clean perversion out of this country.
Those are the seven judgments God has released against America from the mouth of his prophet.
What To Do With This Information
So what should you do with this information? From a spiritual perspective that’s easy but I want to first say this, as a true follower of Christ you don’t have anything to worry about.
In some of these areas, it will be like a hard reset but God is sharing information like this so that you can prepare. We don’t know exactly how God plans to execute judgments in some of these areas so we should prepare based on how God has executed judgment in the past against nations.
I covered ten forms of judgment in depth in part two, but those forms of judgment are war with foreign nations, fire, natural disasters, dangerous animals, desolation, devastation, and waste, famine, darkness, plague, death, and eternal destruction. This list is not exhaustive, so God is not bound by these forms of executing judgment, but it can be instructive for us as we are preparing.
But here’s what you can do spiritually after hearing information like this.
1. REPENT.
First, repent. Repent for your sins and for the sins of this nation. I want to share what repentance actually is because for so long I thought it was merely a fancy word for saying forgive me. That isn’t what it is. To repent means to turn back; to change one’s mind for the better. Repentance is a turning with contrition from sin to God. In other words, with remorse and sorrow for sinful behaviors, you then turn from those sinful behaviors to God. It’s much more about the posture of your heart than it is about the words you say because out of the abundance of your heart, your mouth will speak the words that need to be spoken as you repent.
In Ezekiel 14:6, CSB God says, “Therefore, say to the house of Israel, ‘This is what the Lord God says: Repent and turn away from your idols; turn your faces away from all your detestable things.” Luke 13:3, AMP says, “…but unless you repent [change your old way of thinking, turn from your sinful ways and live changed lives], you will all likewise perish.” The Greek word that’s translated perish there means to destroy. It also means to put out of the way entirely; to abolish. It is used in some instances in scripture as a metaphor for the giving over to eternal misery in hell.
God sends warnings and insights about things to come for a reason.
In instances like this, God does it to give His children opportunities to repent. The deeper your repentance, the deeper your deliverance. 2 Chronicles 7:14, NKJV shows us what is possible when we collectively repent. God says, “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways (that’s repentance), then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
This shows us that repentance brings healing to the land. Remember, this is God’s kindness on display. It is His kindness that leads us to repentance. Romans 2:4, CSB. And repentance allows us to experience the mercy of God which is what we want on behalf of our nation. Proverbs 28:13, CSB lets us know that whoever confesses and renounces sin
will find mercy. When we repent, God judges us based on our repentance, not our wickedness.
2. Ask God for a new heart.
The next thing I recommend is to pray and ask God for a new heart. God gives us the blueprint for this in Ezekiel 11:19-20, CSB. God says, “I will give them integrity of heart and put a new spirit within them; I will remove their heart of stone from their bodies and give them a heart of flesh, so that they will follow my statutes, keep my ordinances, and practice them. They will be my people, and I will be their God.
God gave the people a new heart and a new spirit. Why? So that they WILL follow His statutes and ordinances. We need the help of God to follow His ways because they are not the ways of this world. They go completely against what is normal and on trend.
3. PRAY.
Pray and ask God for mercy on behalf of those who commit the acts that bring judgment. Stand in the gap for them. This is how to hold a nation together that is on track for God’s judgment and wrath. It’s the principle of representation.
We see this play out in Ezekiel 22:27-31, CSB. Israel was a nation in complete chaos and was breaking down in every level of society. The church leaders, the government, family unit, and individuals were running a muck! They were failing at bringing forth God’s kingdom agenda onto the Earth. The text tells us that God said this to them,
“I searched for a man among them who would repair the wall and stand in the gap before me on behalf of the land so that I might not destroy it, but I found no one. So I have poured out my indignation on them and consumed them with the fire of my fury. I have brought their conduct down on their own heads.” This is the declaration of the Lord God.
Even though God is judging people and systems in this nation, we can lessen some of that judgment as well as cancel some of the attacks of the enemy. Will God find an intermediary on behalf of this nation in you?
